About Our Namesake

Tivai Nagy Imre was a citizen of Miercurea Ciuc (Csíkszereda) And Csík area, that achieved middle –class status in those years.  In summer he was working as an expert on his model farm, and in winter he was a prominent leader of the county. He founded the first printed press, newspapers, specialist magazine in the area.Besides his many economic writings, he was also a a well-known chronicle of the region. He was born on 16th of May in Șumuleu (Csíksomlyó) and passed away in Miercurea Ciuc (Csíkszereda) on 27th of June 1931.
